Structural and functional state of postinfarction myocardium and vascular endothelial growth factor: is there a connection?

Purpose of the study. To reveal relationship between serum concentration vascular endothelial growth factor and structural functional state myocardium in patients post-infarction period at stage rehabilitation. Materials methods. We examined 94 outpatient rehabilitation after ad hoc stenting 6 weeks myocardial infarction, 10 healthy volunteers without somatic pathology. All participants study underwent standard transthoracic echocardiography with assessment thickness epicardial fat, (VEGF) peripheral blood by ELISA. Results discussion. VEGF values above median were associated lower left ventricular ejection fraction shortening, which indirectly may indicate a more pronounced expression systolic dysfunction. Assessing parameters LV diastolic dysfunction groups different levels VEGF, no significant differences found infarction. Correlation relationships content adipose tissue not either among or control group. Conclusions. Elevated coronary artery disease 6th week accompanied ventricle dysfunction, contrast to There was direct correlation fat disease.
